Damage & Claims Policy

At Cabinets.deals, we take great care in packaging and shipping your order to ensure it arrives in excellent condition. However, in rare cases, damages or issues may occur during transit. Please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth claims process.

Inspection Upon Delivery

When your order arrives, please follow these steps before signing the delivery receipt:

1. Inspect the shipment immediately.

    • Count the number of pallets and loose items.
    • Examine packaging for any visible signs of damage or tampering.

2. Note any damage or shortages directly on the delivery receipt in the presence of the driver.

3. Do not refuse the shipment.

    • Even if damage is visible, please accept the shipment and note it clearly.

4. Take clear photos of all visible damages to the packaging, boxes, or product itself.

5. Check underneath the top layers of cardboard — items such as trim pieces or panels may be packed at the bottom of the pallet for protection.

6. Do not discard any packaging until your claim is resolved.

IMPORTANT: By signing a clean delivery receipt, you acknowledge that your order was received in acceptable condition. We are unable to process freight claims if damage is not documented at the time of delivery.

Concealed Damage

If you discover damage after unpacking, it must be reported within 7 business days of delivery. To qualify for a replacement:

  • Do not assemble or install the damaged item.
  • Submit a claim with:
    • Photos of the damage
    • Your packing slip and order number
    • A brief description of the issue

How to File a Damage or Missing Item Claim

To file a claim:

1. Email info@cabinets.deals with the subject line: Damage Claim – [Your Order Number]

2. Include the following:

    • Order number
    • Name and phone number
    • Shipping address
    • Description of the issue
    • Photos of the damaged item and packaging
    • Packing slip (if available)

You may also call us at 833-387-2888 for assistance, but all claims must be submitted by email with photographic evidence.

Replacement Process

  • Once your claim is reviewed and approved, we will ship the replacement part(s) at no additional cost.
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for claim processing and replacement shipment.
  • Only the damaged item or component will be replaced — not entire sets or assembled units.

Installation = Acceptance

Do NOT install any damaged item.

Assembly or installation of the product is considered acceptance and disqualifies the product from claims or replacement.

Claims Timeline & Eligibility

  • Visible Damage: Must be noted on the delivery receipt and submitted within 48 hours.
  • Concealed Damage: Must be reported within 7 business days of delivery.
  • Missing Items: Must be reported within 7 business days of delivery.

For Distributors & Bulk Orders

If you are a dealer or distributor, claims must be filed within 30 days of the product’s receipt by the end customer. We may require proof of delivery and transfer of the product.

Ineligible Claims

  • Claims submitted after the timeline above
  • Installed or assembled items
  • Trim pieces or accessories (moulding, toe kick, fillers, etc.) – final sale
  • Products without photo documentation
